He who does not work, let him not eat.

God Provides As We Do Our Part

Proverbs 12:11

New King James Version (NKJV)
11 He who tills his land will be satisfied with bread,
But he who follows frivolity is devoid of understanding.

Deuteronomy 24:19-22

New King James Version (NKJV)
19 “When you reap your harvest in your field, and forget a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it; it shall be for the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that the Lord Your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. 20 When you beat your olive trees, you shall not go over the boughs again; it shall be for the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow. 21 When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not glean it afterward; it shall be for the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow. 22 And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt; therefore I command you to do this thing.

Commentary:
God is saying to me that I must work with my hands if I want God to provide for me.  Also, I must  remember to share some of my earnings with the poor.  As God has provided for me when I was in need, I am to do the same for others, namely the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow.  In my sharing of my earnings, God shall continue to provide for me.    When God blesses me with a season of plenty, I must prepare for the seasons of need.   I must never spend everything that I make.  I must steward the blessings faithfully and  use the resources wisely.  Then and only then will God bless me with more.

Luke 6:38

New King James Version (NKJV)
38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.

As I give to others, God will bless me with more than I have sown.  I can never outgive God and my needs shall never exhaust His supply.  God owns everything.  He is always ready to bless and He desires to bless His children.  He requires that we do our part by being diligent and sharing with others the blessings.
So we become more perfected in Christ.  This passage is a rule of kingdom life.   So here, Jesus is speaking and this is one of his delights: for us to be cheerful givers.  Jesus will bless the generous givers because He can use these people to express His love upon mankind.   A recent letter that we received represents the thief.  It has come to steal, kill and destroy.  (Miyagi)

John 10:10 (NKJV)

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

However, we are binding the Word of God onto this letter and we are claiming the promises of God.  In accordance with Matthew 16:18-19, we have the authority to bind the Word of God because we have been given the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven.  So rather than just speaking man’s word, we are speaking God’s word over this situation because God’s word, when proclaimed, goes forth and does not return void. (Miyagi)

Isaiah 55:11  (NKJV)

11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Isaiah 46:11 (NKJV)

11 Calling a bird of prey from the east,
The man who executes My counsel, from a far country.
Indeed I have spoken it;
I will also bring it to pass.
I have purposed it;
I will also do it.

Isaiah 54:17  (NKJV)

17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord.

So we are binding God’s word.  His Word is simply “yes” and “amen.”  So shall it be and so it is in the name of Jesus Christ.
In conclusion,  when we do our part in working hard with our hands and sharing our resources with others, God will bless us bountifully because we are obeying and following His word.
